Saturday morning and the show opens. My friends, Steve Ball, Leon Stephens and Bill Griebel, discuss the difficulty in purchasing pigeons. Plenty of beer and good food is available. The showroom is full of people trying to purchase birds and talking about the results of the judging. The purchasing of birds was made difficult because foreign buyers were driving the prices up way beyond what was expected. The best way to buy pigeons was to make arrangments outside the show.
